In the case of events of a manageable local scale, the fire department or the police are in charge. In the case of large-scale incidents, when several partner organizations are involved in a natural hazard incident for a longer period of time, the authorities have the regional command organization (RFO) at their disposal. It is composed of selected specialists.
In view of extraordinary situations, the RFO provides the personnel, material, organizational and planning prerequisites for leadership, leadership support and the immediate efficient deployment of resources. In emergencies, the RFO coordinates the deployment and the available resources of the partner organizations in civil protection: police, fire department, technical operations, public health and civil defense.
How regional command organizations work with Firetab
A small firefighting operation, for example a small landslide, can quickly develop into a large-scale operation. If the fire departments work with Firetab, the members of the RFO can simultaneously track the firefighting operation at any number of locations via web access or via tablet application.
With this overview of the measures already taken, the RFO takes the lead. The regional command organ continues to work on the existing operation in Firetab. It takes over the journal management with time stamps and the situation sketch management.
FIReTAB® is characterized by:
- Ease of use
- Different needs are covered by one system
- Any number of emergency personnel can log into the system at any time
While outdoors the tablet is the handy device, where other apps can be used in addition to Firetab, working with a large screen or projector is very popular in the operations center.
All managers involved in the operation are thus on the same level. At any time. Thanks to the continuous synchronization on the Firetab Cloud, no information is lost. This also simplifies the reporting for the post-processing of the event.
